One of our longest-standing customers, a global pharmaceutical and biotechnology developer, has sought to formalise our relationship by appointing the Bridge sole supplier of information technology professionals. The contract runs for several years and with the £4million spend mark having been surpassed in recent months, we hope to provide the best service within our capability well into the future.
Our success in this sector is not restricted to one customer. One of our newer recruits has succeeded in developing a preferred supplier relationship for permanent and contract recruitment with a US-based pharmaceutical research, development and production company with global partners and affiliates. Success has been rapid and decisive. We hope to continue the development of this key market.
For the past 5 years the Bridge has worked in partnership with a high profile National Programme sponsored by the Department of Health and hosted by a leading University, placing in excess of 150 contractors across a diverse array of technology sets. The programme initially started out as a Sharepoint solution looking to build a national portal for the research sector. We sourced some of the most experienced and highly regarded Sharepoint solutions specialists in the country alongside teams of Business Analysts, Project/Programme Managers/Director, PMO, Architects, Infrastructure Analysts, DBAs and including more diverse roles such as Marketing, Communications and Procurement specialists. The Programme in 2010 took a significant turn and moved full speed onto an Oracle Fusion Middleware platform, and again we successfully and swiftly facilitated this change, helping to supply a team of Oracle Fusion specialists, Oracle SOA Developers, Architects and Infrastructure specialists who are genuinely unsurpassed in their chosen fields, the bulk of which are ex-Oracle employees. The programme is one of only a few internationally that comprehensively uses the Oracle 11g Fusion Middleware stack, including primarily Oracle SOA Suite, BPMN Suite and Identity Access Management features.
Sarah has 20 years of experience within the permanent IT recruitment market. She began her career at Lorien and is now a highly accomplished Senior Consultant with a demonstrable track record – most recently operating within the On-line gaming and Legal sector.
Sarah is a firm believer in meeting both candidates and clients face to face in order to ascertain true requirements and offer the most appropriate solutions, taking cultural as well as technical factors into consideration.
Over the past 4 years we have worked in partnership with a global retail brand to deliver both permanent and contract IT resource. We have delivered on numerous high profile programmes including a large ERP roll-out and most recently have provided whole project teams to support the customer in their role as official partner to the Olympic games.
The positions we have recruited include Programme Director, Head of Operations, Programme Manager, Project Managers, PMO, Project Co-ordinator, Network Manager, Test Manager, Service Delivery Manager, Business Analysts, Functional Consultant and an IT Trainer.
A graduate in English, Harriet is our latest trainee and is already contributing to successful placements on behalf of our IT clients. Harriet has an excellent demeanour and willing work ethic which bode well for her career with the Bridge.
Mark is an experienced recruiter with over eight years experience across a variety of specialisms. Mark achieved a BA in Human Resource Management before he started his career working for one of the UK’s largest IT recruitment businesses. Following this he moved on to spend a number of years as a Resourcing Manager working for two global banking organisations before joining the Bridge to work as part of the established IT Team.
Outside of work he is a keen cricketer and sports fan who enjoys live music whenever he gets the chance. He has also successfully
completed the London Marathon in 2008, 2010 and 2012 raising £thousands for Macmillan Cancer support.
Having gained a 2:1 in History and Politics from the University of Sheffield, Alex joins the Bridge as a graduate trainee recruiter. Closely mentored by an experienced manager, he will work on key accounts in a resourcing capacity.
Mohammed Imran is an experienced consultant who joins the Bridge from Real Staffing Group, for whom he specialised in hiring for a number of respected Gold Partners, re-sellers and end users, covering the whole of the Midlands area, specialising in the Microsoft ERP products, Dynamics NAV, AX, GP and CRM as well as the standard Microsoft Development technologies. A graduate of Huddersfield University, Mohammed is a keen cricket fan and active player.
