Our client is looking for an experienced Project Manager within an IT environment to carry out and plan a structured project in order to deliver the overall IT program to the Olympic site in London.

 Initially the role is focussed on the deployment of the infrastructure and systems within a retail environment. Once this is Live and up and running, the role will focus more on the day to day running of the systems and the service delivery side of the project.

Service Delivery experience is not needed, but the Candidate will need to be able to be Customer Facing. The right candidate will have previous Project Management experience with a good financial acumen and the experience of managing large budgets.

Ideally applicants should have experience of managing IT deployments – ideally within a retail environment. They will be able to communicate technical information to non-technical people in order for them to understand fully what is going on and what is needed from them, and they will be able to handle administrative duties such as monthly personnel action reports. As well as this it is preferable that the Candidate has IT installation experience.

Key responsibilities that the Project Manager will hold include reporting the Projects progress to key stakeholders on a regular basis, Driving the project team in order for the project to be delivered on time and to a quality standard, Monitoring risks and taking the appropriate action to resolve these.
