Data Architect

Location - Remote/UK

Salary - up to £80k plus an impressive benefits package!

Here at Bridge IT we are partnered with a global organisation who are looking for an experienced Data Architect to evolve their current data space. This role will be working within a team that is key to getting the right ‘data design’ from the onset for initiatives across their business. The role will also be key in incorporating additional data sources and designing new data structures in their data ecosystem.

Your key responsibilities are;

  • Creating architectures for Data Warehouse, Master/Reference Data, and Integration for data processing
  • Creating conceptual, logical, and physical data models for analytics and, where applicable, operational data structures in accordance to industry best practices
  • Supporting PoCs from design to implementation
  • Ensuring that accurate traceability and lineage is documented
  • Developing great working relationships and communication channels with the relevant departments

To be successful you will need;

  • Experience of data experience within data architecture or solutions
  • Some exposure in Cloud technologies like AWS, MS Azure, Google BigQuery, Bluemix
  • Data modelling experience (conceptual, logical, physical)
  • Knowledge of Big Data solutions including Hadoop, Spark and open source technologies
  • A strong knowledge of data flows, data analysis, and data profiling
  • Experience of transforming traditional Data Warehousing approaches to Big Data based approaches
  • Some experience with SQL and NoSQL skills (desirable), data management knowledge and expertise in data architecture
  • Ability to establish credibility and develop effective business relationships with colleagues
  • Strong organizational, problem solving and analytical skills
  • Keen attention to detail
  • Exceptionally self-motivated
