Data Architect

Remote (UK only)

Day rate – up to £625 outside IR35

Duration – 3-6 months

We have an exciting opportunity for a Data Architect to join a growing and innovative organisation looking at the Data Architecture is being applied across key projects.

To be successful in this role;

• Good knowledge of modern data and analytics technologies such as Azure Synapse, Data Factory etc and able to consult on various technologies

• Strong knowledge of industry best practices around data architecture in both cloud and on prem solutions

• A broad understanding of the principles and best practices behind data engineering, and supporting technologies such as RDBMS, NoSQL, Cache & In-memory stores

• A broad understanding of data warehousing and data transformation (extract, transform and load) processes and the supporting technologies such as Amazon Glue, EMR, Azure Data Factory, Data Lake, other analytics products

• Creation of High-Level Design documents and supporting artefacts

• Be a key stakeholder and advisor in all new strategic data initiatives and ensure alignment to the enterprise-wide data strategy 

• Developing data models that articulate the current and target state for key business systems

• Developing data models at conceptual, logical and physical levels

• Architecting data analytics solutions on cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure
