We are currently looking for a Head of Communications to join a leading client based in North Yorkshire.

The ideal candidate will be delivering a commercially effective marketing strategy in relation to the internal business, promoting the benefits of their products and establishing a solid branding position within the marketplace. Using a blend of marketing tools and creative flair, the Head of Communications will supervise the activities of the marketing team to ensure cohesion and well-planned execution of promotional activity in line with the business requirements.
Role Responsibilities
* Develop and implement an integrated strategic marketing plan
* To manage and support creative agencies, budget, workload, priorities and monitor effectiveness
* To oversee and ensure a structured approach to market research
* Input in to sales follow up tactics to ensure structured process for following up leads and timetable of follow up marketing activity in place
* Implement a structured, data driven approach to end to end event management
* Campaign management
* Development and implementation of a strategic communications strategy
* Identify feature opportunities, opinion pieces, publicity for case studies, profile opportunities, event coverage
* Management and support of PR agency - budget, workload, priorities and monitor effectiveness
* Organise training and assist key spokespeople with interview preparation
* Generating ideas for PR content such as articles, whitepapers and speaking opportunities
* Managing and developing processes to monitor and improve global communications activity and reporting and analysis
* Proactively identifying both internal and external communication needs, as well as implementing solutions and strategies to drive engagement and educate
* Ensure the business take a data-driven approach to market research
* To ensure copy relates to the target audience and material is sales oriented, benefits are clearly outlined, and the structure of the piece meets standard marketing communications guidelines
* Promote engagement with, and the success of, internal marketing communications via selected internal communications channels
* To monitor all branded activity ensuring consistency and protection of the business image at all times
* To manage the design of all public facing literature
* To manage and support creative agencies, budget, workload, priorities and monitor effectiveness
* Assist with the production of artwork and graphic design with external designers in drafting briefs, sourcing images, etc.
* Publish blog posts and other updates to the website
* Manage and maintain information on the business website ensuring it is up to date and customer focused
* Manage the delivery of customer specific events
* Carry out annual tracking survey, interviews with key clients to monitor satisfaction levels, awareness of services, feedback results to the organisation and incorporate in communications material
* Analyse campaign results and provide feedback to the wider marketing team
* To work with sales function to track leads generated and work with internal stakeholders on communications with delegates who have attended event
* Production of case studies in collaboration with relevant stakeholders
* Work closely with the commercial team to follow up on assigned leads and provide any additional details that could be helpful to progress leads
* Manage marketing team accounts/finance process including setting up POs, tracking approvals, spend and payments to vendors
