Infrastructure Engineer - £45-60,000 + Excellent Additional Benefits including a very generous holiday package - Sheffield

The BridgeIT is working with a market leading business in Sheffield to recruit a full time Infrastructure Engineer to join a growing technical team.

The salary is very competitive up to £45-60,000 per annum plus excellent additional benefits including a very generous holiday package.

Key Qualifications

  • Experience in at least two of the following: AWS, Azure and GCP
  • Strong experience in Linux
  • Skilled with scripting in Python or another language
  • Experience with Docker and/or other container technologies
  • Deep understanding of TCP/IP networking, routing and security
  • Use of configuration management and automation tools (Ansible/Puppet)
  • Use of version control tools (Git/Gerrit)
  • Use of CI/CD tools such as Jenkins
  • Experience with Hadoop and Big Data, i.e. cloud solutions such as EMR and HD Insights preferred
  • Experience with Kubernetes preferred
  • Experience with monitoring and metrics tools preferred
  • Proficient English language skills

Description

  • Implement, manage, monitor, and support cloud platforms used by WANdisco such as AWS, Azure, GCP
  • Develop and maintain automated deployment, monitoring and management tools
  • Collaborate to troubleshoot Cloud issues with our Engineering and Quality teams
  • Liaise with support interfaces to Cloud platforms
  • Assist with On-Premise server and network management
  • Participate in an on-call schedule

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or relevant experience
