The BridgeIT are looking for an experienced IT Administrator to join an established IT Department to support users across Head Office and regional locations for a leading retailer.

As IT Administrator, you will deliver quality technical skills with the ability to solve advanced problems. This includes a wide range of job duties from basic computer knowledge, installation of programs, phone and PC / Laptop setups to network and advanced application troubleshooting. This role is absolutely essential within any organisation to ensure business continuity.

Some of your duties and responsibilities will cover

  • 1st and 2nd line IT support
  • Carry out IT audits and health checks
  • Maintain an asset register of IT software and hardware
  • Monitor backup solution, including testing and restoring where necessary
  • Monitor and manage the protection of all hardware, including but not limited to antivirus and spyware
  • Perform maintenance and upgrades of software and hardware
  • Manage and support email systems
  • Recommend software and hardware solutions comprising of upgrades and new acquisitions

Key skills and technologies that you will need

  • Windows Server 2008 and above with basic SQL knowledge
  • Windows 7 and above
  • Active Directory (AD) administration, maintenance and setup
  • Exchange Server up to 2010 (creating / configuring mailboxes)
  • MS office 2010 and above
  • File and Print Server configuration
  • Terminal Services use / configuration
  • Administration of VOIP systems
  • Experience of administering virtual servers in a Hyper-V environment
