IT Business Analyst

We are looking for an experienced IT Business Analyst with programming skills. You will control projects through the whole life-cycle, gathering requirements from customers, creating specs, implementation and testing as well as ongoing support. Our internal systems often require scripting and programming, plus we need support for existing Java based EDI & data handling apps, so experience in this area is essential.

The role will require experience in the following areas:

  • Project management
  • Analysis of business logic & requirements
  • Java programming
  • SQL programming
  • MS Office applications
  • Communicate with & support non-technical colleagues
  • Graphical design layout software

Initially you will support and develop existing customers, handling new products and business requirements anywhere in the chain from EDI to production.

Industry experience will eventually put you in a position to handle new customer business, planning and bringing a solution to fruition, start to finish.

You will need excellent English, written and spoken as communication skills are essential to liaise with internal departments and external customers. Seasonal business trends may put you under pressure, so time management is key, as is a positive outlook and a desire to help others.

Our business is to provide branding and labelling solutions to the fashion industry. We furnish the needs of many large high street retailers globally and are at the forefront of the latest innovations in the industry, making big investment in RFID technology, including point-of-sale solutions.

The position is at the UK office, but you will correspond regularly with colleagues in Europe, Asia and the global headquarters in China, so any experience with international projects would be a bonus. Occasional travel overseas may be necessary.
