Lead QA Engineer - £45-50,000 + Excellent Additional Benefits - Leeds

The BridgeIT is working with a market leading business in Leeds to recruit a full time Lead QA Engineer to join a growing technical team.

The salary is very competitive up to £45-50,000 per annum plus excellent additional benefits.

As a Lead QA Engineer, you will be on multiple Project Teams covering all areas of manual testing.

Key Skills and Responsibilities:

  • Software Testing - Techniques used to plan and execute software tests of all application components to verify that the software satisfies requirements and to detect errors, using software tools to automate or assist in the testing process.
  • Test Management Techniques - Principles, methods, techniques and tools for the effective management of the testing process and the execution of tests throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Engaging in early life-cycle activities to identify QA and testing scope, approach, resources, schedule and targets.
  • Driving excellence and best practice in the team and wider department with passion and enthusiasm.
  • Carrying out appropriate quality monitoring and control, report on progress to help achieve quality targets.
  • Designing, analysing, and overseeing execution of test plans to verify the quality of systems, identifying opportunities to automate where appropriate.
  • Providing guidance and assistance to colleagues in quality assurance and testing.
  • Responsibilities include all aspects of testing including creating and executing the test plan, test cases, regression testing, and test data/file creation.
  • Develops and implements software/systems testing standards and procedures and conducts tests.
  • Documents and analyses test results, and makes recommendations to improve overall quality.
  • Testing purchased third-party software and/or services to ensure that company standards and end-user requirements are met.
  • Responsible for defect management of immediate project / programme of work.
