Senior Microsoft Engineer / Infrastructure Engineer

Currently looking for a Senior Microsoft / Infrastructure Engineer to join an organisation based in North Yorkshire, who has good knowledge of off-prem and Infrastructure-as-a-Service solutions. The ideal candidate will be primarily Microsoft technology focused and have a broad range of technical experience with corporate business services.

Role Responsibilities

  • Collaborating with colleagues to quickly and efficiently expedite the resolution of any issues encountered, doing so in a logical and methodical manner
  • Working pro-actively in the management and monitoring of infrastructure to prevent issues and outages happening in the first instance
  • Deploying complex on-premise and cloud-based services in both green and brown field environments following design documentation
  • A proactive and forward-thinking approach to process improvement
  • Being open to ideas and equally happy to suggest improvements or better ways of doing things

Your Skills and Experiences

  • Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Enterprise technologies, Windows Server, Office 365, Microsoft 365 and experience with Microsoft Azure
  • Good understanding of off-prem and Infrastructure-as-a-Service solutions
  • Ideally, experience of migration off-prem solutions to the Cloud - Azure
  • Leading on project deliverables from design to implementation
  • Ensure a smooth transition into the service environment
  • Develop solutions and technical documentation
  • Contribute to developing IT strategies and procedures
