Senior PHP Software Engineer

Currently recruiting for an experienced Senior PHP Software Engineer to work for a software organisation going through a sustained period of growth. You will be working closely with a varied development team and help continually develop their products and services.  The ideal PHP Software Engineer will have proven experience developing scalable enterprise software systems and an understanding of building secure web applications.

 

Required Skills

  • Proven industry experience using PHP in scalable enterprise software systems
  • Proficient in software engineering processes and practices
  • Experience with MVC frameworks, preferably Laravel
  • Strong understanding of developing secure web applications
  • Proven experience in Version Control systems, such as GIT or SVN
  • Excellent understanding of Design Patterns
  • Understanding for Test Driven Development (TDD)

 

Role Responsibility

  • Participate in the architectural design of features early in the development cycle, influencing it to drive quality and adherence to the specification
  • Take responsibility for clear and comprehensive technical documentation
  • To participate in planning and estimation exercises
  • Liaise with Senior Developers and Architects to ensure that implementation approaches are agreed
  • Ensure code for its fit-for-purpose and complies to company standards and security policies
  • Work with internal and external stakeholders on the management and deployment of code
  • Responsible for making sure work meets technical standards
  • Provide progress updates and report any technical issues
