Test Lead – Automation – Selenium

Currently recruiting an Automation Test Lead role for a national organisation in Leeds. You will be responsible for implement QA process and Automated testing across the portfolio of work to improve the overall testing cycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Will contribute during all phases of the development lifecycle
• Take on leadership responsibilities and influence the direction of the automation effort, and its schedule and prioritisation
• Build new automated test frameworks and extend existing frameworks with Selenium/C#
• Review product requirements, functional and design specifications to determine and prepare automated test cases
• Produce testing documentation for new and existing applications
• Ensure testing is carried out to a quality standard
• Manage all test reporting within BAU and projects
• Provide input to continuous improvement within the testing function and the wider IT function
• Peer review of colleagues test output
• Work closely with the project, analysis, architecture, development and support teams  

Key Skills

• Strong understanding of testing within the SDLC
• Ability to analyse existing manual tests and determine value for automation
• Testing within an Agile / Waterfall environment
• Built and maintained a BDD driven Selenium automation framework
• Maintained a BDD driven API automation framework
• Built an automation framework for cross browser and platform support
• Implemented an automation framework
• Good working knowledge of XPath and CSS Selectors for element identification
• Understanding of web technologies (XML, HTML, JavaScript, CSS)
